The SHOWGIRL and the STRONGMAN have escaped from the circus in search of a better, chosen life. Following a trail of sequins leading to a factory, the CLOWN finds the runaways in an old derelict building.
He wants to return the SHOWGIRL to the circus but must overcome the STRONGMAN in battle first. The CLOWN is on the point of defeat when the SHOWGIRL, frightened, takes matters into her own hands.
Despite her noble deed the SHOWGIRL is returned to the circus and the CLOWN claims his reward – freedom.
